There’s a place in Port Neches where you can pick up some specialty coffee and chocolates toward a good cause.

Trujillo Coffee Company, whose motto is “Great Coffee < Greater Purpose,” was born from a love of the people of Honduras. Hayden Outlaw, Geoff Sirkel and their families are from the States but moved to Honduras after visiting there dozens of times.

While there, they asked their friends there what they could do to help. After a while the idea of a coffee business was developed, according to their website.

“As it turns out, our friends own and operate a large coffee plantation, the profits of which all support church planters across the nation. One of these church plants is in the coastal town of Trujillo, our current home, and the inspiration for our company’s name,” the website stated.
